Request to Work/Block City Street/Right-of-Way
When filling out the Request to Work/Block the City Street/Right-of-Way Permit, you will be required to complete the following information:
- Name of event / purpose for closing
- Date of work / length of closing
- Name of street / location to be blocked
- From (street / avenue) to (street / avenue)
- Time (from / to)
- Have neighbors been contacted? (Notification of Neighbors/Businesses Affected by Closing form is required)
- Name of person responsible, including address and phone number
- There is a $20.00 barricade fee for street blocking PER WEEK
- $25.00 permit fee to dig in the right-of-way
- $50.00 permit fee to dig in the street
- Minimum $500.00 bond is required for digging in the right-of-way and a minimum $1,500.00 bond is required for digging in the street, per dig
- $250.00 per block fee for underground utilities.
- Check with Public Works Director before work begins
To complete a permit request, stop by City Hall at 811 Avenue E.
