The City of Fort Madison’s Cemetery Department will once again be conducting SPRING cemetery clean up from Monday, March 14, 2016 to Wednesday, March 23, 2016. In an attempt to inform the public, advertisements will appear in the “Daily Democrat” prior to the actual start of cemetery clean up.
The advertisement will read as follows: ATTENTION Sacred Heart, Elmwood, Oakland & City Cemetery spring clean up starts on Monday, March 14, 2016. ALL ITEMS MUST be removed before Monday, March 14, 2016. Any items left will be disposed of during cemetery cleanup. NO items are to be placed out until THURSDAY, MARCH 24, 2016. Thank You For Your Cooperation!
It is important to remember that items can be put back on the graves starting Thursday, March 24, 2016.
