[ARCHIVED] City of Fort Madison Receives ICAP Grant

The ICAP Grant, a special initiative in celebration of the Pool's 30th Anniversary, provides up to $1,000 per member for the purchase of select loss control and/or risk management items.  Such items include, but are not limited to:

  • Approved playground surface materials;
  • Exit signage;
  • Automated External Defibrillators; and
  • Fire extinguishers
The City of Fort Madison submitted an application for the grant in October, and was recently awarded $1,000 from the Pool.  The city used the funds to purchase a burglar alarm system.

About ICAP - ICAP was formed in 1986 as a group self-insurance program for Iowa public entities.  The member-owned Pool provides property and casualty coverage, risk-sharing facilities and risk-management services to its members.  The Pool is acclaimed for its stable rates, superior coverage and class of service that is second-to-none.
