[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Closings and Changes

The City of Fort Madison is constantly monitoring the situation with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) and is taking precautionary measures to help protect the health of its residents.

*Fort Madison City Hall is closed to public access. City employees will be working and services will continue. This closure is in effect until further notice. City office hours are 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. and the phone number is 319-372-7700.

*If you believe you have an issue that requires access to City Hall, please contact the appropriate department through telephone or email first.  If you have any further questions please contact the city office or department that you are needing.

*The Library is closed to the public until further notice.  Librarians will be answering phones and responding to e-mail from 9:30 am through 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 9:30 am through 5:00 pm on Friday.

*All Fort Madison Parks Department shelter rentals prior to April 30 have been postponed. Renters will be contacted by the Parks Department to determine available dates for rescheduling purposes.

*All parks, playgrounds and campgrounds are closed effective April 6, 2020. Public restrooms and all drinking fountains will remain out of service at this time.
