[ARCHIVED] City of Fort Madison Board & Commission Vacancies

Board/Commission Spotlight:    The Fort Madison Housing Authority needs two individuals to serve as Housing Commissioners.  The Housing Commissioners serve as advocates for the Housing Authority. Their job is to set policies, provide direction, and assist the Authority in it’s mission. On average a commissioner commits one hour per month to attend meetings and have knowledge of the purpose, goals, policies, programs, and financial constraints of the agency. 

Meetings are held once per month on the third Wednesday of the month at 4:00 P.M. at Hillview Village Community Room. Members must be 18 years old and live within Fort Madison City Limits. The term of office is two years.

Applications can be found at www.fortmadison-ia.com or through the City Clerk’s office at 811 Avenue E.  This application process is an effort to ensure diversity and representation of our community.  Interested persons should submit completed applications to the City Clerk’s office during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.  These are uncompensated positions.  All applications are subject to the open records laws of the State of Iowa.
