WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - Full Time Operator/Lab Technician
Assist in the operation and monitoring of the water reclamation facility. Additional duties performed include collecting routine water samples and performing laboratory test; cleaning clarifiers, wet wells and elevated tanks; maintenance of pumps, valves and meters; property maintenance to the building and grounds; and completing daily documentation.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Iowa driver’s license
- Obtain a Grade II Wastewater Certification in the State of Iowa.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment
- Ability to operate computer programs
PUBLIC WORKS - Full Time General Operator
Performs a variety of unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance work, operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of City street, sanitary and storm drainage facilities and systems.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school education or GED equivalent.
- Valid Iowa driver’s license
- Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
- Two (2) years of experience relating to construction, maintenance, or repair, OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
