Workshop attendees will discuss Fort Madison's strengths, challenges, and opportunities, and help craft goals for the future of our community. The planning team will give a short presentation on the comprehensive plan project, followed by small group discussion. The event is "free" and open to the public. The Fort Madison comprehensive plan will cover a diverse range of topics, including land use, transportation, housing, parks, infrastructure, and economic development. The plan will address opportunities and challenges that Fort Madison expects to face through the year 2030. The final document will provide a set of shared goals and recommendations that guide land use, development and public investment decisions in the City of Fort Madison.
